The BlackBerry Controller monitors the following BlackBerry Enterprise Server components: • BlackBerry Attachment Service • BlackBerry Dispatcher • BlackBerry MDS Connection Service • BlackBerry MDS Integration Service • BlackBerry Messaging Agent • BlackBerry Policy Service • BlackBerry Router • BlackBerry Synchronization Service Changing how the BlackBerry Controller monitors the BlackBerry Enterprise Server components and restarts services Change how the BlackBerry Controller restarts the BlackBerry Messaging Agent Before you begin: To create a user.dmp file, or to use a user.dmp file as a data collection option, you must download and install the User Mode Process Dump application that is included in the Microsoft® OEM Support Tools. 1. The BlackBerry® Controller detects when activity stops and restarts the appropriate BlackBerry® Enterprise Server services, which
enables the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to continue to run in the event of nonresponsive threads or inactive services.
The BlackBerry Controller monitors the following BlackBerry Enterprise Server components:
BlackBerry Attachment Service
BlackBerry Dispatcher
BlackBerry MDS Connection Service
BlackBerry MDS Integration Service
BlackBerry Messaging Agent
BlackBerry Policy Service
BlackBerry Router
BlackBerry Synchronization Service
Changing how the BlackBerry Controller monitors the BlackBerry Enterprise
Server components and restarts services
Change how the BlackBerry Controller restarts the BlackBerry Messaging Agent
Before you begin:
To create a user.dmp file, or to use a user.dmp file as a data collection option, you must download and install
the User Mode Process Dump application that is included in the Microsoft® OEM Support Tools.

On the computer that hosts the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, open the Registry Editor.
