M5300, M6100, and M7100 Series ProSAFE Managed Switches ICMP Throttling Commands This section describes the commands you use to configure options for the transmission of various types of ICMP messages. ip unreachables Use this command to enable the generation of ICMP Destination Unreachable messages on an interface or range of interfaces. By default, the generation of ICMP Destination Unreachable messages is enabled. Default Format Mode enable ip unreachables Interface Config no ip unreachables Use this command to prevent the generation of ICMP Destination Unreachable messages. Format Mode no ip unreachables Interface Config ip redirects Use this command to enable the generation of ICMP Redirect messages by the router. By default, the generation of ICMP Redirect messages is enabled. You can use this command to configure an interface, a range of interfaces, or all interfaces. Default Format Mode enable ip redirects Global Config Interface Config no ip redirects Use this command to prevent the generation of ICMP Redirect messages by the router.
