WiseImage - User's Guide Median Median filtration reduces an image noise, by analyzing all pixels within the specified radius and giving the central pixel the averaged value of the reviewed pixel characteristics. As a result, the extremes of pixel color and brightness are depressed and the image looks slightly blurred. To use median filtration 1. Select an image you want to process on the screen and start the operation using one of the following methods: Click Median on the Raster Image toolbar. Choose Median from the rFilter menu. - or Start the operation without selecting an image. Select an image you want to process from the dialog box. * For more detailed information on the selection procedure see "Selecting Several Images" on page 20. The following dialog box is displayed: 2. Specify the Radius value from 1 to 5. This value determines in pixels the area within which the filter is to review color values. 3.
