and
Color Filtration

Setting a small
Radius
value you can achieve the most blur effect. If you want to
produce more blur effect, then apply this filter with a small
Radius
value several
times, using the
Apply
button of the dialog box.
To blur an image
1.
Select an image you want to process on the screen and start the operation
using one of the following methods:
Click
Blur
on the
Raster Image
toolbar
.
– or -
Choose
Blur
from the
rFilter
menu.
- or -
Start the operation without selecting an image.
Select an image you want to process from the dialog box.
*
For more detailed information on the selection procedure see “Selecting
Several Images” on page 20.
After the image selection the following dialog box is displayed:
2. Type values from 0.1 to 10.0 in the
Radius
box to specify the image blur level.
Increasing this value produces a stronger blur effect.
3. Choose
Apply
to run filtration.
Blurring with a large
Radius
yields coarse image and removes details. Setting a
small
Radius
you can achieve the minimum blur effect of the filter application. If you
want to gain more control on blurring, apply this filter with a small
Radius
value
several times, using the
Apply
button of the dialog box.
Adaptive Blur
This tool is designed for blurring none uniform color areas inside the color transition
boundaries in the image. It works on grayscale and color images.
The blurring gives the impression that an image is slightly «out of focus».
The
Adaptive Blur
filter, in contrast to the
Blur
filter, tries to recognize the color
transition boundaries in the image and leave them unchanged, without smoothing.
