Page 30 highlights

3 Basics Detaching Images You can detach images that are no longer required from the drawing. When you detach an image, all the instances of the image, the image definition, and the link to the image are removed from the drawing. If changes have been made to a raster image, then WiseImage prompts if you want to save the image. The changes are saved or discarded depending on your choice. To detach an image 1. From the Insert menu, choose Image Manager. 2. From the Image Manager dialog, select the image name. 3. Choose Detach. Click OK. If you have made any changes to the raster image since you last saved it, or this image was not saved, then a standard dialog appears asking if you want to save the changes. Click Yes to save the changed raster image to its current raster file. The image is no longer linked to the drawing file, and all instances to the image are removed from the drawing. Þ Detaching an image insertion using the ERASE command is not the same as detaching an image. To detach an image, you should remove the link to the image file from your drawing. Unloading and Reloading Raster Images You can improve the program performance by unloading images no longer needed in the current drawing session. Unloaded images are neither displayed nor plotted; only their borders are displayed. The links to the image are not changed when you unload images. If changes have been made to the raster image, then WiseImage prompts if you want to save the image. Depending on your choice the changes are either saved or discarded. To unload an image 1. Choose Image Manager from the Insert menu. 2. Specify an image name in the Image Manager dialog. 3. Choose Unload. 4. Click OK. If since it was last saved, any changes to the raster image have been made, or the image has not been saved, then a standard dialog appears asking if you want to save the changes. Click Yes to save the changed raster image to its current raster file. 29

Detaching Images
You can detach images that are no longer required from the drawing. When you
detach an image, all the instances of the image, the image definition, and the link to
the image are removed from the drawing.
If changes have been made to a raster image, then WiseImage prompts if you want
to save the image. The changes are saved or discarded depending on your choice.
To detach an image
1. From the
Insert
menu, choose
Image Manager
.
2. From the
Image Manager

If you have made any changes to the raster image since you last saved it, or this
image was not saved, then a standard dialog appears asking if you want to save the
changes. Click

The image is no longer linked to the drawing file, and all instances to the image are

detaching an image. To detach an image, you should remove the link to the
image file from your drawing.

You can improve the program performance by unloading images no longer needed
in the current drawing session. Unloaded images are neither displayed nor plotted;
only their borders are displayed. The links to the image are not changed when you

want to save the image. Depending on your choice the changes are either saved or
discarded.
