3 Basics Importing Spotlight Workspaces WiseImage can import workspaces that have been created using Spotlight versions 3 and 4. When importing a Spotlight workspace, all raster images contained in and linked to this workspace are loaded. Spotlight vector objects are loaded and converted to AutoCAD vector objects. Raster images are loaded conforming to the information on their location, color, and scale that is stored in the workspace. When importing a Version 4 Spotlight workspace, the parameters and settings of raster selection, tracing, and vectorization are also loaded. You can use WiseImage settings (templates) created with Spotlight version 4 to transfer tool settings. If you changed the location of files included in the workspace, or placed them on another computer, then make sure that the files (graphic files of various formats, vector files of Spotlight - *.VC5) are in the same folder as the workspace file. To import a Spotlight workspace 1. From the rFile menu, choose Import Workspace. 2. In the Import Workspace dialog, select a folder and workplace file (*.WS or *.CWS). 3. Click Open. Undoing and Redoing Changes Use the AutoCAD UNDO and REDO (U and R) commands to cancel or restore any changes you have made to raster images using WiseImage tools. * For more detailed information on undoing and redoing changes see the relevant sections of AutoCAD User's Guide. Saving AutoCAD drawings when working with WiseImage If you work in AutoCAD with WiseImage and save an AutoCAD drawing, then all the changed and unsaved raster images inserted in the current drawing are automatically saved. If there are any insertions (newly created with WiseImage tools) in the drawing, which are not linked to raster files, then a dialog box for raster image saving will be opened for each of them, where you can specify the name, format and location of the file to be saved. Þ If you want to save an AutoCAD drawing only, without saving the raster image, then remove its insertion from the drawing before saving. 31
