4,024.42: This fault code indicates a problem with the wiper. The wiper is not aligned properly and engaged the headtilt while in the waste lock position. Troubleshooting Procedure Step Questions and Actions 1 1. Run the Check Wiper Alignment test. 2. Did the test fail? 2 1. Run the Wiper Drive test. 2. Did the test fail? 3 1. Inspect the wiper drive system and wiper lock system. Look for ink in the belts. 2. Is the wipe system operating correctly? 4 1. Inspect the head maintenance clutch. 2. Is there the presence of oil or contamination? 5 1. Run the Head Maintenance Clutch test. 2. Is the head maintenance clutch operating correctly? Yes No Perform the Wiper Alignment Procdure and test again. Go to Step 2 if the test fails again. Go to Step 2. Go to Step 3. Go to Step 5. Go to Step 4. Replace the problem component. Clean the interior of the sytem and replace clutch if necessary. Go to Step 5.
