Tyres should be inflated at the correct pressure and one person should be sitting astride the motorcycle, keeping it at right angles to its longitudinal axis and opposite a wall or a screen, 10 meters apart from it. Then draw a horizontal line dictated by headlamp center and a vertical one in line with the longitudinal axis of motorcycle. If possible, perform this check in dim light. Switch on the low beam: the height of the light spot (measured at the upper limit between dark and lighted-up area) should not exceed 9/10th of the height from ground of headlamp center. 56 9 x 10 10 m x fig. 61
