2) Move the fast-idle lever to position (B) (fig. 33). 3) Check that the stop switch (1, fig. 34) is positioned to (RUN), then press the starter button (2). Let the engine start without using the throttle control. This model is equipped with a servoignition system. To achieve assisted engine starting, press the button (2) and release it immediately. Pressing the button (2) operates automatic engine starting for a maximum period of time that varies depending on engine temperature. When the engine has started, the system prevents the starter motor from turning over. If the engine fails to start, allow at least 2 seconds before pressing the starter button (2) again. Note If the battery is flat, the system will automatically prevent the starter motor from turning over. 4) Move the fast-idle lever towards its vertical position (A, fig. 33) until obtaining an engine speed of approx. 1400-1500 rpm.
