[Encoding] Encoding can be determined by specifying a meta character in the field data. The following table indicates the meta characters and explains each one. Meta character Function Description D Specifies mixed mode. Reconstructs a single code from split codes. M Manually specifies input Specifies the character mode based on the meta mode. characters N, A, B, or K Specifies the character mode. If N is specified, numerals are specified. If A is specified, numerals and letters of the alphabet are specified. If B is specified JIS8 bitcode is specified. If K is specified, kanji that can be specified using Shift-JIS are specified. H, Q, M, or L Specifies the error correction level. If H is specified, data can be recovered even if up to 7[%] of the symbol area is corrupted. If Q is specified, data can be recovered even if up to 15[%] of the symbol area is corrupted. If M is specified, data can be recovered even if up to 25[%] of the symbol area is corrupted. If L is specified, data can be recovered even if up to 30[%] of the symbol area is corrupted. If B is specified for the character mode, 4 numerals are input after B in the character string to encode.
