[Encoding]
If the width of the barcode to be rendered exceeds the label width, only the part that fits in the
label width will be printed.
Designated encoding is performed based on the mode set by Parameter m.
If m = N, normal encoding is performed.
If m = U, the number of encoded characters is 19.
If m = A, a Code 128 subset is automatically selected based on the characters in the specified
field data.
If a numeral 4 character or longer is specified, subset C is automatically selected.
All ASCII code can be encoded.
If m = D, encoding is done in GS1-128 format.
The start code for the appropriate subset and
FNC1 will be automatically added and parentheses and blank spaces will be removed for
encoding.
However, parentheses and blank spaces will be printed for HRI characters.
The
check digit will be automatically calculated and added if necessary.
When specifying the field data, special characters can be specified using meta characters.
Specifying and switching subsets can be done using special characters.
If a subset is not
specified, subset B is selected.
The following table indicates the special characters or characters
that can be specified using meta characters for each subset.
