7. Insert the new agent cartridge until you hear a click. 8. Close the agent door. 9. Tap Finish and Check on the front panel. TIP: If the new agent fails to work, see Agent troubleshooting on page 72. Material The printer uses a mixture of fresh and reusable material-the configuration for PA12 material is 20% fresh, 80% reusable. The reusable material slot serves two functions: ● Adding reusable material. You may be prompted to put more reusable material into the machine if there is not enough to maintain the mix ratio and meet the requirements of the job; the front panel will walk you through installing a reusable material supply. ● Removing excess reusable material. You may be prompted to remove reusable material if there is not enough space to hold all reusable material that the job will generate; the front panel will walk you through installing an empty or partial supply to accommodate the excess material. Material states ● Fresh: New, unused material. ● Reusable: Material that the printer has reclaimed from previous jobs, which may be reused for future jobs. ● Waste material: Used material that will not be reused. ● Mix ratio: A mixture of fresh and reclaimed material. ● Empty: Empty cartridges should be stored and used to reclaim material. 56 Chapter 10 Printer preparation

Material
The printer uses a mixture of fresh and reusable material—the configuration for PA12 material is 20% fresh, 80%
reusable. The reusable material slot serves two functions:
Adding reusable material. You may be prompted to put more reusable material into the machine if there is
not enough to maintain the mix ratio and meet the requirements of the job; the front panel will walk you
through installing a reusable material supply.
Removing excess reusable material. You may be prompted to remove reusable material if there is not
enough space to hold all reusable material that the job will generate; the front panel will walk you through
installing an empty or partial supply to accommodate the excess material.
