5. Locate the white plastic strip and the scanner glass strip. The glass strip is located underneath the scanner access bar on the base of the scanner, between the rollers and the white plastic strip. 6. While holding the scanner access bar open, use a clean, lint-free cloth to press down firmly and wipe both the white plastic strip and the scanner glass strip. Make sure to break up any residue. 7.
