Page 31 highlights

Leave the main power switch on at all times, unless you intend to move the printer. If you plan to leave the printer unattended for more than 2 weeks, set it to away mode. Away mode If you plan to leave the printer unattended for more than 2 weeks, select Away mode from the maintenance menu under System Tools > Utilities. The printer will perform a series of minor maintenance tasks in order to maintain the health of your printheads. After every job task, prepare the printer for the extended idle time by performing the maintenance operations listed under Printer maintenance schedule on page 98. Also clean the capping station. Entering away mode is preferable to shutting the printer down completely. It will minimize the frequency of printhead replacement, as well as help maintain steady operating procedures with predictable costs based on usage. The printer will remain locked throughout away mode; it can be returned to normal operation from the front panel. More information about the need for and the details of away mode can be found on the 3D Knowledge Zone. Starting in Firmware V500300_07_20_39.12, during Away Mode, the printer will also execute a sanitization routine in the Humidity System. Also, the shutdown confirmation screen will remind customers to put the printer in Away Mode if the printer will be idle for more than a week. To set the printer in Away mode, select Cancel, then go to Settings, select Maintenance > System tools > Utilities > Enable away mode. Reboot (power cycle) the unit first, before enabling Away Mode. CAUTION: If you turn off the printer for an extended amount of time, it cannot maintain printhead nozzle health, and you may find that you need to replace the printheads when you eventually turn it back on.
