10: Service Settings HTTP Settings Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is the transport protocol for communicating hypertext documents on the Internet. HTTP defines how messages are formatted and transmitted. It also defines the actions web servers and browsers should take in response to different commands. HTTP Authentication enables the requirement of usernames and passwords for access to the EDS1100/2100 device. This page has three links at the top for viewing statistics and for viewing and changing configuration and authentication settings. HTTP Statistics-Viewing statistics such as bytes received and transmitted, bad requests, authorizations required, etc. HTTP Configuration-Configuring and viewing the current configuration. HTTP Authentication-Configuring and viewing the authentication. HTTP Statistics To view HTTP statistics: This page shows various statistics about the HTTP server. 1. Click HTTP on the menu bar and then Statistics at the top of the page. The HTTP Statistics page appears. Figure 10-11 HTTP Statistics Note: The HTTP log is a scrolling log, with the last Max Log Entries cached and viewable.
