Enter the maximum number of retransmissions of a SYN that will be attempted before failing. It is lower than "Max Retrans" to thwart denial-ofservice attacks. ICMP Settings
To configure the ICMP network protocol:
Max Retrans
Enter the maximum number of retransmissions of a packet that will be
attempted before failing.
Max Retrans Syn/Ack
Enter the maximum number of retransmissions of a SYN that will be
attempted before failing.
It is lower than “Max Retrans” to thwart denial-of-
service attacks.
Max Timeout
Enter the maximum time between retransmissions.

This value typically fills the Time To Live in the IP header. SNMP refers to
