Appendix Checking the System Application Version You can check the current version of the system application in Printer Information from the SL-D3000 Maintenance Utility. Check the version information before and after upgrading or downgrading the system application. Changing the System Application Version A Start the Client PC. Note: O Note the following while upgrading or downgrading. O Do not disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer and the Client PC or the Printer PC. O Do not turn off the Client PC, the Printer PC (if connected), or the printer. O Do not disconnect the LAN cable connecting the Client PC and the Printer PC (if connected). O Log in to the Client PC as a user with administrator privileges. O If you are prompted to enter an administrator password or confirmation on Windows 7, enter the password and continue with the operation. O If there are multiple Client PCs, perform a Pre-operation check after changing the version for all Client PCs. B Turn off all of the printers that are connected to the Client PC or the Printer PC. If any printer is turned on, run the Post-operation Check. C Close all application software on the Client PC. D Load the System Application CD into the Client PC, and then click Install.exe in the SystemApplication folder. 82
