Table 5. Hard drive indicator codes (continued) Drive-status indicator pattern Off Condition Drive ready for insertion or removal. NOTE: The drive status indicator remains off until all hard drives are initialized after the system is turned on. Drives are not ready for insertion or removal during this time. Flashes green, amber, and then turns off Flashes amber four times per second Flashes green slowly Steady green Flashes green for three seconds, amber for three seconds, and then turns off after six seconds Predicted drive failure Drive failed Drive rebuilding Drive online Rebuild stopped NIC indicator codes The NIC on the back panel has an indicator that provides information about the network activity and link status. The activity LED indicates whether the NIC is currently connected or not. The link LED indicates the speed of the connected network. Figure 6. C Link indicator is amber D Activity indicator is flashing. green Condition The NIC is not connected to the network. The NIC is connected to a valid network at its maximum port speed (1 Gbps or 10 Gbps). The NIC is connected to a valid network at less than its maximum port speed.
