This setting is necessary only for MS-DOS 5.0 or above. The extended translation scheme supports 2-GB partitions on hard disk drives as large as 8 GB. To partition a hard disk drive larger than 1 GB that is controlled by the SCSI card BIOS, use the MS-DOS Fdisk command and specify a partition size that is a multiple of 8. (Fdisk rounds up to the nearest whole multiple of 8.) ! Caution: Back up your disks before changing the translation scheme. I Display Ctrl+A Messages during BIOS Initialization-When set to Enabled, the SCSI card BIOS displays this message during system bootup: Press Ctrl+A for SCSISelect (TM) Utility! If this setting is disabled, you can still invoke the SCSISelect utility by pressing Ctrl+A after the SCSI card BIOS banner appears.
