Chapter 1 Product Overview Setting the Nozzle Verification Technology Enable / Disable Enable / Disable of Nozzle Verification Technology is set. The factory setting is "Enable". Settings It can be set from the setting menu of the product and PrinterSetting. See "Setting panel switch" on page 80 or "PrinterSetting" on page 87 Setting Nozzle check interval Every time the number of printed copies has been reached, the printing operation will be stopped temporarily 1 and the device will perform an auto nozzle check. When the number of nozzle dropouts exceeds the value, a head cleaning is executed. If the number of clogged nozzles does not reach this value, the dot substitution function is activated instead of performing head cleaning. Settings It can be set from the setting menu of the product and PrinterSetting. Can be set between 0 to 10 nozzles See "Setting panel switch" on page 80 or "PrinterSetting" on page 87 The allowable number of nozzle dropouts is the total for the nozzles for all four colors (CMYK). The value initially set for the allowable number of nozzle dropouts is "6". 23
