Output Color Purpose: To specify the color mode to color or black and white. Values: Color* Black & White Prints in the color mode. Works well with texts and photos. Prints in the black and white mode. Works well with texts. Network Use this menu to change the printer settings affecting jobs sent to the printer through the wired or wireless network. NOTE: Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default menu settings. Ethernet Purpose: To specify the communication speed and the duplex settings of Ethernet. The change takes effect after the printer is turned off and then on. Values: Auto* 10BASE-T Half 10BASE-T Full 100BASE-TX Half 100BASE-TX Full Detects the Ethernet settings automatically. Uses 10base-T half-duplex. Uses 10base-T full-duplex. Uses 100base-TX half-duplex. Uses 100base-TX full-duplex. NOTE: This item is not displayed when the Ethernet cable is disconnected and Wi-Fi is set to On. Wireless Status Purpose: To display the information on the wireless signal strength. No changes can be made on the operator panel to improve the status of the wireless connection. Values: Connection Good Acceptable Low No Reception SSID Encryption Type No Security WEP WPA2*1-PSK-AES Mixed Mode PSK *1 WPA stands for Wi-Fi Protected Access®. Indicates good signal strength. Indicates marginal signal strength. Indicates insufficient signal strength. Indicates that no signal is received. Displays the name that identifies the wireless network. Displays the encryption type.
