Loosen the throttle cable bolts, and free the tips of
throttle cable lower end.

D. Decelerator Cable
E. Throttle Cable Bolts
After removing the throttle body assy, cover the
throttle body assy holder and air cleaner duct with
a clean cloth to protect them from dirt.
Clean the throttle body assy (see Cleaning Your
Motorcycle section).
NOTICE
If dirt gets through into the engine, excessive
engine wear and possibly engine damage will
occur.
Lubricate the lower ends of the throttle cables and
reinstall them in reverse order of removal.
Tightening Torque
Throttle Cable Bolts:
3.5 N·m (0.36 kgf·m, 31 in·lb)
Throttle Pulley Cover Bolts:
3.4 N·m (0.35 kgf·m, 30 in·lb)
WARNING
