NOTICE
Keep the battery well charged during cold
weather so that the electrolyte does not
freeze and crack open the battery. The more
discharged a battery becomes,
the more
easily it freezes.
Tie a plastic bag over the exhaust pipe and air
cleaner inlet (rear cab frame top) to prevent mois-
ture or small animals from entering.
Put a cover over the vehicle to keep dust and dirt
from collecting on it.
Removal from Storage:
DANGER
Exhaust gas contains carbon monoxide, a
colorless, odorless poisonous gas.
Inhaling carbon monoxide can cause serious
brain injury or death.
Do not run the engine in enclosed areas. Op-
erate only in a well-ventilated area.
Remove the plastic bags from the exhaust pipe
and air cleaner inlet.
Charge the battery if necessary, and install it in the
vehicle.
Make sure the glow plugs are securely tightened.
Check all the points listed in the Daily Safety
Checks section.
Lubricate as indicated in the General Lubrication
section.
