108 MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT Injection Pump The injection pump sends the fuel to the injection nozzles under high pressure. The mechanical governor controls the amount of fuel injected, and is set to satisfy the engine's needs. The idle speed adjustment should be performed in accordance with the Periodic Maintenance Chart or whenever the idle speed changes. j Idle Speed Adjustment A. Throttle Pedal B. Locknut C.
