Steering Wheel
In accordance with the Periodic Maintenance
Chart, check the steering wheel for the specified
free play and smooth operation.
Free Play Inspection
Park the vehicle on level ground.
Lightly turn the steering wheel left and right.
There should be 0

0.8 in.) of free
play.
If there is excessive free play or strange noises,
or the steering feels rough or “catchy,” have
the steering system checked by an authorized
Kawasaki dealer.
