A. Drain Cap
B. Drain Tube
Tighten the drain cap and operate the priming
pump until fuel flows from the air vent plug.
Tighten the air vent plug securely.
Tightening Torque
Air Vent Plug:
4.9 N·m (0.50 kgf·m, 43 in·lb)
Thoroughly wipe up any spilled fuel.
Crank the engine and check for fuel leaks around
the filter.
Replacement of Fuel Filter Element
Stop the engine.
Place a suitable container under the fuel filter to
catch spilled fuel.
Remove the drain cap at the bottom end of the fuel
filter. Discard the O-ring.
Remove the fuel filter element with a filter wrench.
Replace the old filter element with a new one.
Tighten it by hand until the gasket on the element
touches the filter body.
Tighten it 1/3 turn more to obtain a snug fit.
Replace the old O-ring with a new one. Tighten
the drain cap securely.
Loosen the air vent plug.
Operate the priming
pump several times until fuel flows out.
Tighten the air vent plug.
Thoroughly wipe up any spilled fuel.
Crank the engine and check for fuel leaks around
the filter.
