5.5 Installing/Removing Pendant and/or Port Cover  For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 4 on page 40. 5 OPERATION Installing Pendant 1. Plug pendant cable into bus cable port located on either right or left side (Detail "A").  Ensure connection between pendant cable and bus cable port is tight, otherwise, connector cap will not lock in place (Detail "B"). 2. Lower connector cap to lock the connection in place (Detail "C"). Removing Pendant  To disable the operation of electric beds, these models have pendants that can be removed and stored in a secure place. 1. To disable operation of the electric bed, lift the connector cap (Detail "B"). 2. Unplug the pendant cable from the bus cable port (Detail "A"). Installing Port Cover There is a port on each side of the bed for the pendant to be plugged in to that allows the pendant to be located on either side of the bed. The port that is not being used MUST be covered using the provided port cover. 1. In the unused port of the bus cable, install port cover (Detail "D).  Ensure connection between the bus cable and port cover is tight, otherwise, connector cap will not lock in place (Detail "E"). 2. Lower connector cap to lock the connection in place (Detail "F). Removing Port Cover 1. Installing/Removing Pendant and/or Port Cover
Installing Pendant
1.
Plug pendant cable into bus cable port located on either right or left side (Detail “A”).
2.
Lower connector cap to lock the connection in place (Detail “C”).
Removing Pendant
1.
To disable operation of the electric bed, lift the connector cap (Detail “B”).
2.
Unplug the pendant cable from the bus cable port (Detail “A”).
Installing Port Cover
There is a port on each side of the bed for the pendant to be plugged in to that allows the pendant to be located on either side of the bed. The port
that is not being used MUST be covered using the provided port cover.
1.
In the unused port of the bus cable, install port cover (Detail “D).
2.
Lower connector cap to lock the connection in place (Detail “F).
Removing Port Cover
1.
To remove the port cover, lift the port cover cap (Detail “E) and remove the port cover from the bus cable port.
For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 4 on page 40.
Ensure connection between pendant cable and bus cable port is tight, otherwise, connector cap will not lock in place (Detail
“B”).
To disable the operation of electric beds, these models have pendants that can be removed and stored in a secure place.
