Lights MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION High Beam Adjustment - Gen IV The headlight beam can be adjusted to any position desired by turning the adjusting knob on the bottom right side of the headlight pod. 1. Position the vehicle on a level surface with the headlight approximately 25 ft. (7.6 m.) from a wall. 2. Remove the two screws on the lower front corners of the headlight pod. 3. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, push in on the lock tab through the two small openings at the front of the headlight pod. 4. Lift the pod slightly while depressing the tabs. 5. Remove the screw in the back of the headlight pod. 6. Measure the distance from the floor to the center of the headlight and make a mark on the wall at the same height. 7. Start the engine and turn the headlight switch to high beam. 8. Observe the headlight aim on the wall. The most intense part of the headlight beam should be aimed two inches (5.1 cm) below the mark placed on the wall. NOTE: Include rider weight on the seat when measuring. 9. Adjust the beam to the desired position by turning the adjustment knob either clockwise or counterclockwise. 10. Reinstall the pod. Theheadlightbeamcanbeadjustedtoanypositiondesiredbyturning
theadjustingknobonthebottomrightsideoftheheadlightpod.
1. Positionthevehicleonalevelsurfacewiththeheadlight
approximately25ft.(7.6m.)fromawall.
2. Removethetwoscrewsonthelowerfrontcornersoftheheadlight
pod.
3. Usingasmallflat-bladescrewdriver,pushinonthelocktab
throughthetwosmallopeningsatthefrontoftheheadlightpod.
4. Liftthepodslightlywhiledepressingthetabs.
5. Removethescrewinthebackoftheheadlightpod.
6. Measurethedistancefromthefloortothecenteroftheheadlight
andmakeamarkonthewallatthesameheight.
7. Starttheengineandturntheheadlightswitchtohighbeam.
8. Observetheheadlightaimonthewall. Themostintensepartof
theheadlightbeamshouldbeaimedtwoinches(5.1cm)belowthe
markplacedonthewall.
NOTE:
Includeriderweightontheseat
whenmeasuring.
9. Adjustthebeamtothedesiredpositionbyturningtheadjustment
knobeitherclockwiseorcounterclockwise.
10. Reinstallthepod.
