jGENERAL INFORMATION 71 Shift Lever The shift lever is located on the left side under the handlebars and has two positions: "F" (Forward) and "R" (Reverse). To shift into Reverse from Forward, squeeze the trigger on the lever while pulling the lever all the way up. WARNING Suddenly shifting into reverse at high speed can cause the bow to suddenly dive into the water, throwing the occupants forward which can cause severe injury. Do not shift into reverse while going forward and do not use reverse as a brake. Slow the watercraft to a stop and alert any passengers before shifting to reverse. Fuel Economy Assistance Mode The fuel economy assistance mode helps maximize fuel efficiency.
