Engine stop switch:
When the switch is in the RUN (
) position,
the engine will operate. When the switch is in OFF

) position, the engine will not operate.
This switch is intended primarily as a safety or
emergency control, and it should normally remain in
the RUN (

NOTE

If you stop your ATV by turning the engine stop
switch OFF (
), be sure to turn the ignition
switch OFF to prevent battery discharge.
Starter Switch:
To start the engine, press the starter switch, with
the ignition switch ON (• ) and the engine stop switch
at RUN (
).
NOTICE
See starting instructions prior to starting en-
gine (see page 51 for details).
NOTE

If the starter switch is pushed with the ignition

starter motor will be activated but the engine will
