5: Configuration via Serial Mode or Telnet Port The configuration settings display, followed by the setup menu options: Figure 5-4. Select an option on the menu by entering the number of the option in the Your choice ? field and pressing Enter. View the current configuration by pressing Enter from the Change Setup menu. To enter a value for a parameter, type the value and press Enter. To confirm a current value, press Enter (without entering parameters). 5. When finished, save the new configurations (9 Save and exit). The unit reboots. Server Configuration The unit's basic server (network) values display when you select Server (option 0 from the Change Setup menu). The following sections describe the configurable parameters within the Server configuration menu. Network Mode (MatchPort b/g Only) Note: This option is not present for the MatchPort NR as the network mode has a default setting of Wired Only and cannot be modified. Select the network mode for the MatchPort b/g. Options available are Wired Only, Wireless Only, and Bridging. (For more information on Ethernet-to-wireless bridging, see 9: Wireless Bridging.) Network mode: 0=Wired Only, 1=Wireless Only, 2=Bridging(One Host) (1) ? Set the IP Address If DHCP is not used to assign IP addresses, enter it manually. The IP address must be set to a unique value in the network. Enter each octet and press Enter between sections. The current value displays in parentheses.
