The cable that joins the joystick to the junction box is a critical part of the vehicle. Ample cable is provided to allow for adjustments. There is a danger if this cable is not correctly routed. Do not allow the excess cable to extend beyond the width of the chair where it may become damaged. Removal and installation of seats with post mount Socket Head Cap Screw Removal Figure 9D (Seats with Post Mounting) 1. Remove the controller from the arm as indicated on page 46. 2. Remove cable from seat if so attached. 3. Locate the silver socket head screw in the post area below the seat and loosen with the 1/4 inch hex wrench provided (See Figure 9D). 4. Grasp the seat at the front and back and lift directly upward until it is free of the seat post. Installation 1. Make sure the socket head cap screw on the receiver tube is loose. Grasp the seat from the front and back. 2. Align the seat post to the receiver tube and lower the seat into position. 3. Tighten the socket head cap screw with the 1/4 inch hex wrench provided. 4. Reinstall the controller cable and controller mounting bracket. Position the cable to the minimum length to allow the arm to lift. To prevent cable damage, do not let the cable hang free or extend beyond the chair. Use care when driving to keep the cable from catching on objects. 48 Chapter 9 D82007778 REV N 7/10/12

Removal
1.
Remove the controller from the arm as indicated on page 46.
2.
Remove cable from seat if so attached.
3.
Locate the silver socket head screw in the post area below the seat and loosen
with the 1/4 inch hex wrench provided (See Figure 9D).
4.
Grasp the seat at the front and back and lift directly upward until it is free of
the seat post.
Installation
1.
Make sure the socket head cap screw on the receiver tube is loose. Grasp the
seat from the front and back.
2.
Align the seat post to the receiver tube and lower the seat into position.
3.
Tighten the socket head cap screw with the 1/4 inch hex wrench provided.
4.
Reinstall the controller cable and controller mounting bracket. Position the
cable to the minimum length to allow the arm to lift. To prevent cable damage,
do not let the cable hang free or extend beyond the chair. Use care when driving
