Macintosh OS 9.x Utilities and Drivers Information for Macintosh Users Macintosh OS 9.x Utilities and Drivers These utilities and drivers will be installed on your system disk as part of the Macintosh OS 9.x installation: SCSIProbe PowerDomain Control Utility Adaptec SCSI Card 2906 Driver Used to verify SCSI IDs, identify drivers, mount drives after startup, and auto-mount drives during startup. Used to control various features on the Adaptec SCSI Card 2906. External documentation for this utility will be installed on your system by the installer and is also available on the Adaptec Web site. Must reside in the Extensions folder; otherwise, the Adaptec SCSI Card 2906 will not be recognized by your system. Uninstalling Macintosh OS Driver To remove the Adaptec SCSI driver: 1 Go to the folder for your Mac OS on the SCSI Card 2906 CD and locate the Uninstall.command file. 2 Double-click the file to remove the driver. Note: You must be logged on as an administrator to uninstall the driver for the SCSI Card 2906. The script will prompt you for an administrator password. Verifying the Uninstall Go to the /System/Library/Extensions directory and verify that Adaptec290X-2930.kext is no longer in that directory. 38

These utilities and drivers will be installed on your system disk as
part of the Macintosh OS 9.x installation:
Uninstalling Macintosh OS Driver
To remove the Adaptec SCSI driver:

Go to the folder for your Mac OS on the SCSI Card 2906 CD and
locate the
Uninstall.command
file.

Double-click the file to remove the driver.
Note:
You must be logged on as an administrator to
uninstall the driver for the SCSI Card 2906. The script will
prompt you for an administrator password.
Verifying the Uninstall
Go to the
/System/Library/Extensions
directory and verify that
Adaptec290X-2930.kext
is no longer in that directory.
