NOTICE: The appliance may become damaged due to the use of unsuitable liquids. Do not use distilled water, highly chlorinated tap water (>4 mg/l) or other liquids. Only use cold, fresh tap water, softened water or noncarbonated mineral water. Do not overfill tank above max level line to avoid water from spilling inside the tank housing. Notes ▯ If your water is very hard, we recommend that you use softened water. ▯ If you only use softened water, you can set the water hardness range to "softened". ▯ If you use mineral water, set the water hardness range to "4 very hard". ▯ If you use mineral water, you must only use noncarbonated mineral water. 1. Open the appliance door. 2. Pull out the water tank from the right side of the oven cavity (figure !). 3. Fill the water tank with cold water up to the "max." mark (figure ") 4. Fully close the tank cover until it locks. 5. Insert the filled water tank (figure #). 6. Ensure that the water tank has been pushed in all the way. The water tank should be level with the tank cavity (figure $).   7. Close the appliance door. After Every Steam Operation 9 WARNING RISK OF SCALDING Hot steam can escape when you open the appliance door. Steam is not visible at certain temperatures. Do not stand too close to the appliance when opening it. Open the appliance door with caution. Keep children away. 9 WARNING RISK OF BURNS The appliance grows hot during operation. Let appliance cool down prior to cleaning. NOTICE: ENAMEL DAMAGE: Do not start any operations when there is water on the oven cavity floor. Before the operation, wipe the water from the oven cavity floor. The remaining water is pumped back into the water tank after every operation with steam. Then empty and dry the water tank. Moisture remains in the oven cavity. To dry the oven cavity, you can either use the "Drying ª" operating mode or dry the oven cavity by hand. Notes ▯ Once the appliance has been switched off, the display remains lit for a little longer to remind you to empty the water tank. ▯ Remove limescale marks with a cloth soaked in vinegar, then wipe with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Empty Water Tank NOTICE: ▯ Do not dry the water tank in the hot oven cavity. This will damage the water tank. ▯ Do not clean the water tank in the dishwasher. This will damage the water tank. 1. Open the appliance door. 2. Remove the water tank. 3. Empty the water tank, clean it with detergent and then rinse it thoroughly with clean water. 4. Dry all parts with a soft cloth. 5. Rub the seal on the cover until dry. 6. Leave to dry with the cover open. 7. Close the cover on the water tank and push it down. 8. Insert the water tank and close the appliance door. 27
