Troubleshooting If you are still having problems after following the troubleshooting tips in this section, contact customer support at www.brightsign.biz/support for assistance. General troubleshooting Before attempting to resolve any playback problem on your BrightSign, please start with this checklist. 1 Download a BrightSign demo from www.brightsign.biz/support/demos and confirm that it plays. 2 Try a different flash card, or if you have only one flash card, reformat your flash card. 3 (HD2000 only) If a CF card isn't working, try an SD card. SDHC not supported. The BrightSign power light is on, but there's no display This is normally caused by a problem with the content or with the video connections. 1 If you're using an HDMI/Component display, make sure the display is set to the correct input. 2 If your BrightSign is currently set for 1080i output, try 720p. 3 If you're using a VGA display, make sure your BrightSign is set to a resolution your display supports over VGA. If you aren't sure, set your Brightsign to 1024x768. 4 If you're using a playlist or interactive playlist, remove the playlist from the flash card, and then try again. Repeat the test by removing AUTORUN.BRS if that file is present. 5 To rule out a problem with your content, download a BrightSign demo from www.brightsign.biz/support/demos and confirm that it plays. 72 • •
