Chapter 4 Working with Playlists What is a playlist? A BrightSign playlist is a text file that ends in BSP (BrightSign Playlist). It contains the names of the files you want to play and the order in which you want to play them. Files in a playlist are played in sequence, one after the next. This means that you cannot use a playlist to play files simultaneously. For example, you cannot play an audio file and a video file at the same time unless you add your audio to your video file. A simple playlist might contain just these lines: slide1.bmp slide2.bmp slide3.bmp This playlist would play SLIDE1.BMP, then SLIDE2.BMP, then SLIDE3.BMP, and then it would repeat to create a loop. 17 • •
