Supported media types BrightSign supports the following media types: MPEG-2 video files (program streams on the HD2000-VOB/MPG files, or transport streams on the HD110, HD210, HD410, HD810, and HD1010-TS files) These are the same types of files that are found on DVDs. You can create MPEG-2 video files using any video editing software, such as Pinnacle Studio or iMovie. These video files should meet the following parameters: • Video size up to 1080i (1920x1080 interlaced). • Bit rate up to 25Mbps. • Scale. During playback video is scaled in real time to the output resolution (which can be much higher definition). The files must contain program streams (transport streams are not supported). Image files You can create image files using most imaging software, such as Adobe PhotoShop, Macromedia Firefly, or even Paint, which comes with Windows. You can also save or convert any digital camera image to compatible formats. The following image resolutions are supported: • Up to 1920x1080 for HD output • Up to 1024x768 for VGA output The following image file types are supported: • 8, 24, 32 bit BMP files • PNG files • JPEG files Baseline JPEG files are supported.
