Using the NetworkTimer keyword When using the Simple Networking method, you need to add a NetworkTimer keyword to your playlists. You can use the NetworkTimer keyword with an RSS feed or the automatic content download feature. The NetworkTimer keyword can take the following forms: • NetworkTimerPeriodic: Instructs BrightSign to check your network folder at regular intervals. For example, you can update an RSS feed every 15 minutes. The syntax is as follows: NetworkTimer "Minutes" "Item to update" NetworkTimer 15 RSS • NetworkTimer: Instructs BrightSign to check your network folder for new content at regular intervals based on the date/time parameter you specify. For example, you can check for new content every Monday at 6AM. The syntax of the date/time parameter is as follows: Year "/" Month "/" Day "-" Day of Week "-" Hour ":" Minutes NetworkTimer */*/*-MON-06:00 DOWNLOAD 'Mondays at 6AM • NetworkTimerRange: Instructs BrightSign to check your network folder for new content during a specific timeframe.
