Control functions TIP The spring preload setting is determined by measuring distance A, shown in the illustration. The longer distance A is, the higher the spring preload; the shorter distance A is, the lower the spring preload. Spring preload setting*: Minimum (soft): 120.5 mm (4.74 in) Standard: 128.5 mm (5.06 in) Maximum (hard): RX10GT 145.5 mm (5.73 in) RX10LTGT 138.5 mm (5.45 in) * Distance A changes 1.5 mm (0.06 in) with each full turn of the adjusting nut. 3. Tighten the locknut to the specified torque. NOTICE: Always tighten the locknut against the adjusting nut, and then tighten the locknut to the specified torque. Adjusting the damping forces of the
rear shock absorber
Adjusting the compression damping force
The compression damping force can be ad-
justed by pressing the grip warmer/rear shock
absorber compression damping adjustment
switch. (See page 16 for adjustment proce-
dures.)
Adjusting the rebound damping force
The rebound damping force can be adjusted
by turning the adjusting dial.
To increase the rebound damping force, turn
the adjusting dial in direction (a). To decrease
the rebound damping force, turn the adjusting
dial in direction (b).

The weight transfer can be adjusted by turn-
ing the adjuster on the control rod.
