To increase the rebound damping force, turn the adjusting knob in direction (a). To decrease the rebound damping force, turn the adjusting knob in direction (b). Adjusting the spring preload of the rear shock absorber The spring preload can be adjusted by turning the adjusting nut on the rear shock absorber. Adjust the spring preload as follows. 1. Loosen the locknut. 2. To increase the spring preload and thereby harden the suspension, turn the adjusting nut in direction (a). Rebound damping force
The rebound damping force of each shock
absorber can be adjusted by turning its re-
bound damping force adjusting knob.
To increase the rebound damping force, turn
the adjusting knob in direction (a). To de-
crease the rebound damping force, turn the
adjusting knob in direction (b).
TIP
The damping forces will not decrease past the
minimum levels even if the adjusting knobs
are turned out more than the minimum set-
tings.

Adjusting the spring preload of the
rear shock absorber
The spring preload can be adjusted by turning
the adjusting nut on the rear shock absorber.
Adjust the spring preload as follows.
1.
Loosen the locknut.
2.
To increase the spring preload and there-
by harden the suspension, turn the ad-
justing nut in direction (a). To decrease
the spring preload and thereby soften the
suspension, turn the adjusting nut in di-
rection (b).
