Throttle Cable
Throttle Cable Adjustment
Inspect the throttle grip for smooth operation in
all steering positions. Check and adjust the throttle
cable in accordance with the Periodic Maintenance
Chart.
Check that the throttle grip has 2

0.12 in.) of play and turns smoothly.

If the play is incorrect, loosen the locknut on the
upper end of the throttle cable and turn the ad-
juster to obtain the specified play.
Then, tighten
the locknut toward the adjuster.

ways and check if handlebar movement changes
the idle speed.
If so, the throttle cable may be
