Features & Controls NOTICE: This NOTICE applies onlyif you have an automatic Overdrive transaxle. If your vehicle isso equipped and if it seems to start up rather slowly, or if it seems not to shift gears as you go faster, something may be wrong with a transaxle system sensor. If you drive very farthat way, your vehicle can be damaged. So, if this happens, have your vehicle serviced right away. Untilthen, you can use 2 (Second Gear) when you are driving less than 35 mph (56 ltm/h) and I]D1 (Overdrive) for higher speeds. D (Drive) or 3 (Third Gear): If your automatic transaxle does not have Overdrive, this position is for normal driving, at all speeds, in moststreet and highway situations. If your automatic transaxle has Overdrive, 3 is like but you never go into Overdrive. Forward Gears NOTICE: Damage to your transaxle caused by shifting out of P (Park) or N (Neutral) with the engine racing isn't covered by your warranty. ID1 (Automatic Overdrive):If your automatic transaxle has Automatic Overdrive, this position is for normal driving. If you need more power for passing, and you're: Going less than 35 mph (56 ltm/h), push your accelerator pedalabout halfway down. Going about 35 mph (56 ltm/h) or more, push the accelerator all the way down. You'll shift down to the next gear and have more power. n, 64
