RUN I New khicle 'CBreak-In" NOTICE: Your modern Oldsmobile doesn't need an elaborate "break-in." But it will perform better in the long run if you followthese guidelines: Don't drive at any one speed fast or slow -for the first 500 miles (804 km) . Don't make fullthrottle starts. Avoid malting hard stops for the first 200 miles (322 ltm) or so. During this time your new brake linings aren't yet broken in. Hard stops with new linings can mean premature wear and earlier replacement. Follow this "breaking-in" guideline every time you get newbrake linings. I ACCE Glove Box Use the door ltey to lock and unlock the glove box. To open, pull the glove box handle toward you. I Ignition Switch With the ignition key in theignition switch, you can turn theswitch to five positions: Accessory: An "on" position in which you can operate some of your electrical power accessories. Press in the ignition switch as you turn the top it toward of you. Lock: The only position in which you can remove the ltey. This locks your steering wheel, ignitionand transaxle (on automatic models). Off Unlocks the steering wheel, ignition, and transaxle (on automatic models). Use this position if your vehicle must be pushed or towed, but never try to push-start your vehicle.A 57
