10. Troubleshooting Message "Parallel I/F board has a problem." Cause An error has occurred in the IEEE 1284 interface board. "Printer font error." An error has occurred in the font settings. "Cannot print because both the main and designation (chapter) sheets are set to the same paper tray. Press [Job Reset] to cancel the job. To print the job again specify different trays." The tray selected for other pages is the same as the one for slip sheets. Solution Turn off the power, and then back on again. If the message appears again, contact your service representative. Contact your service representative. Reset the job. Be sure the tray you select for slip sheets is not providing paper for other pages. When using direct print from a memory storage device Message "Exceeded the limit value for total data size of the selected files. Cannot select more files." Cause Solution • The size of the selected file exceeds 1 GB. • The total size of the selected files exceeds 1 GB. Files or groups of files larger than 1 GB cannot be printed. • When the total size of the multiple files that are selected exceeds 1 GB, select files separately. • When the size of the selected file exceeds 1 GB, print from a memory storage device using a function other than the Direct printing function. You cannot select files of different formats at the same time. 204
