Instruments, Features and Controls Clutch Lever The clutch lever is located on the left handlebar. Disengage the clutch before shifting gears. For smooth clutch operation, pull the lever quickly and release it gradually. • To disengage the clutch, pull the lever toward the handlebar. • To engage the clutch, gradually release the lever. Clutch Lever Throttle Control Grip The throttle control grip is located on the right handlebar. Use the throttle control grip to control engine speed. While seated in the proper riding position: • Rotate the top of the grip rearward to increase engine speed and power. • Rotate the top of the grip forward to decrease engine speed and power. Decrease Speed Increase Speed Tilt Sensor A tilt sensor stops the engine if the motorcycle tips beyond 45 degrees to one side. The check engine light or message will also activate. To restart the engine, cycle the ignition switch to the OFF position, wait 20 seconds, then restart the engine. 32

Clutch Lever
The clutch lever is located on the left han-
dlebar. Disengage the clutch before shifting
gears. For smooth clutch operation, pull the
lever quickly and release it gradually.

To disengage the clutch, pull the lever
toward the handlebar.

To engage the clutch, gradually release
the lever.
Throttle Control Grip
The throttle control grip is located on the
right handlebar. Use the throttle control grip
to control engine speed. While seated in the
proper riding position:

Rotate the top of the grip rearward to

Tilt Sensor
