MAINTENANCE Tires Tire Condition Inspect the tire sidewalls, road contact surface, and tread base for cuts, punctures, and cracking. Replace damaged tires immediately (see your VICTORY Service Manual or an authorized VICTORY dealer). Tread Depth Raised areas at the base of the tread, known as wear bars; act as easily visible tread depth indicators. When the road contact surface has worn to the top of the wear bars, replace the tire. For more precise measurement, use a depth gauge or an accurate ruler to measure the depth of the center tire tread. Replace the tire if the tread depth is less than 1/16 inch (1.6 mm). 1 1. Tire Condition
Inspect the tire sidewalls, road contact surface, and tread base for cuts, punctures, and cracking. Replace damaged
tires immediately (see your
VICTORY Service Manual
or an authorized VICTORY dealer).
Tread Depth
Raised areas at the base of the tread, known as wear bars; act as easily
visible tread depth indicators. When the road contact surface has worn
to the top of the wear bars, replace the tire.
For more precise measurement, use a depth gauge or an accurate ruler
to measure the depth of the center tire tread. Replace the tire if the
tread depth is less than 1/16 inch (1.6 mm).
