Clutch Lubricate Clutch Lever Mechanical Clutch 1. Remove right side cover. Loosen the adjuster lock nut (see page 106.) 2. Turn the cable adjuster all the way in to provide maximum lever freeplay. 3. Remove clutch lever pivot nut (1) and pivot screw (2). Disconnect the clutch cable from the clutch lever. 4. Remove any old grease and dirt from the clutch lever and lever housing. 5. Lubricate the clutch lever and lever pivot screw with VICTORY Moly Assembly Grease or Victory All Purpose grease. 6. Reconnect the clutch cable. Reinstall the lever, pivot screw and nut. Hold pivot screw down and torque nut to 40 in-lbs (5 Nm). 7. Adjust clutch freeplay (page 106). Hydraulic Clutch 1. Remove clutch lever pivot nut (1) and pivot screw (2). 2. Remove any old grease and dirt from the clutch lever and lever housing. 3. Lubricate the clutch lever and lever pivot screw with VICTORY Moly Assembly Grease or Victory All Purpose grease. 4. Reinstall the lever, pivot screw and nut. MAINTENANCE
Clutch
Lubricate Clutch Lever
Mechanical Clutch
1.
Remove right side cover. Loosen the adjuster lock nut (see page 106.)
2.
Turn the cable adjuster all the way in to provide maximum lever freeplay.
3.
Remove clutch lever pivot nut (1) and pivot screw (2). Disconnect the clutch
cable from the clutch lever.
4.
Remove any old grease and dirt from the clutch lever and lever housing.
5.
Lubricate the clutch lever and lever pivot screw with VICTORY Moly
Assembly Grease or Victory All Purpose grease.
6.
Reconnect the clutch cable. Reinstall the lever, pivot screw and nut.
Hold pivot screw down and torque nut to 40 in-lbs (5 Nm).
7.
Adjust clutch freeplay (page 106).
Hydraulic Clutch
1.
Remove clutch lever pivot nut (1) and pivot screw (2).
2.
Remove any old grease and dirt from the clutch lever and lever housing.
3.
Lubricate the clutch lever and lever pivot screw with VICTORY Moly
Assembly Grease or Victory All Purpose grease.
4.
Reinstall the lever, pivot screw and nut. Torque the pivot screw to 9 in-lbs
(1 Nm). Torque the nut to 52 in-lbs (6 Nm).
