MAINTENANCE Brakes Add Rear Brake Fluid 1. Bring the motorcycle to a vertical position with an appropriate motorcycle lift or a block of wood or steel placed securely under the frame. 2. Remove the right side cover. 3. Wipe the area around the reservoir cover with a clean cloth. 4. Wipe the brake fluid container with a clean cloth. 5. Remove the reservoir cover and gasket. Notice Brake fluid will damage painted surfaces and plastic parts. Always clean spilled brake fluid immediately with plenty of water and a mild detergent. 1 2 3 1. Rear brake fluid reservoir 2. MAX brake fluid level mark 3. MIN brake fluid level mark 6. Carefully add enough brake fluid to bring the level between the minimum and maximum marks. 7. Reinstall the reservoir gasket and cover. 8. Reinstall the side cover. 116

Brakes
Add Rear Brake Fluid
1.
Bring the motorcycle to a vertical position with an appropriate
motorcycle lift or a block of wood or steel placed securely under
the frame.
2.
Remove the right side cover.
3.
Wipe the area around the reservoir cover with a clean cloth.
4.
Wipe the brake fluid container with a clean cloth.
5.
Remove the reservoir cover and gasket.
Notice
Brake fluid will damage painted surfaces and plastic parts.
Always clean spilled brake fluid immediately with plenty of
water and a mild detergent.
6.
Carefully add enough brake fluid to bring the level between the minimum and maximum marks.
7.
Reinstall the reservoir gasket and cover.
8.
Reinstall the side cover.
