If the starter does not turn, the battery will be al-
most fully discharged. It is possible to start with
the recoil starter.

Using the recoil starter with the battery discon-
nected will cause the belt failure detection system
to activate. Once activated it must be reset by a
Kawasaki dealer.
Moving Off
•
Move the shift lever into the “H” (High) or “L” (Low)
position.
•
Release the parking brake.
•
Gradually increase engine speed by pushing the
throttle lever forward.
NOTE

Practice starting and stopping (using the brakes)
until you are familiar with the controls.
