112 SAFE OPERATION If the water inside transmission is not drained, drain the water in accordance with following procedures. Loosen the air duct clamps to remove the air duct. the bolts to remove the belt drive trans• Loosen mission cover. • Wipe the water off with a clean, lint-free towel. • j A. Air Duct B. Belt Drive Transmission (CVT) Cover NOTE żBe sure to turn off the ignition switch before dis- the bolts to the specified torque following • Tighten the tightening sequence as shown in the figure. Bolts Tightening Torque: 8.8 N·m (0.90 kgf·m, 78 in·lb) connecting the CVT belt indicator lead connector. If you disconnect the connector with the ignition switch on, the belt indicator light starts flashing. In this case you need to return the vehicle to the dealer for reset.

If the water inside transmission is not drained,
drain the water in accordance with following proce-
dures.
Loosen the air duct clamps to remove the air duct.
A. Air Duct
B. Air Duct Clamps
Disconnect the actuator lead connector.
Disconnect the CVT belt indicator lead connector.
NOTE
°
Be sure to turn off the ignition switch before dis-
connecting the CVT belt indicator lead connector.
If you disconnect the connector with the ignition
switch on, the belt indicator light starts flashing.
In this case you need to return the vehicle to the
dealer for reset.
Loosen the bolts to remove the belt drive trans-
mission cover.
Wipe the water off with a clean, lint-free towel.

Tighten the bolts to the specified torque following
the tightening sequence as shown in the figure.
